The best day!

Today my roommate and I were up at 6am to catch a bus and train to Zurich. We've been planning this day together for just over a month and we're very excited. It's also our last day off together and now we both only have 2 more days off before we leave so it was a very special day. We ended up missing the train we planned on due to some slow lady in the store so we were a bit behind schedule but we were in no hurry. We arrived in Zurich and went straight to the Lindt chocolate museum. This was amazing as straight away we saw a chocolate fountain in the middle of the room. We then got tickets for the chocolate tour but before we started we went to the chocolate shop to have a look at what we would like later. The tour was audio and I had English and my roommate had Spanish which meant hers finished a lot quicker then mine on some of the areas. It started with the cocoa beans, then the history of chocolate, then how it came to be so famous in Switzerland. We then found the tasting room where we quickly listen to the explanations before trying all three chocolate fountains- Dark, milk and white. I always love white chocolate but it was definitely the best milk chocolate I have ever tried. We then had a chocolate guessing game where you tried a bit and had to guess what it was. One was dark, one we still have no idea!!, then a salted caramel one before ending with an orange chocolate.

We were then so buzzed about the chocolate tastings we couldn't concentrate on the next lot of audio so we finished in a room where we could take pictures and get 1 of each lindt ball- ending with 8. I definitely got the money I paid for the tour back with all the chocolate I ate!!

My roommate then really wanted to go to the Fifa museum so we headed there and learnt about the history of football and saw the trophies and how the teams have changed over the years. She went insane when we were watching old clips of football games and Argentina ot Messi came on the screen. We then found some interactive games which were very busy so we had a game of foosball- she took an early lead but I ended up winning- WOOHOO!! If we ever played football in real life I wouldn't stand a chance so I'll tale the foosball win!!

We then made our way through the streets to a mesume which was unfortunately sold out. So we quickly headed up to the palontology musume which wad good but very hot and only in German. It was very nice being in a busy city again and seeing a very different side to Switzerland then the Alps. We then got on the train home and saw a beautiful sunset and I read my book and my roommate rested her eyes- apparently very common in Argentina.  We then had Chicken and mash potatoe left overs for dinner before heading to bed straight away.
