The 10th of September.
Well this marks my 118th day in the US for 2025. This is the end of the first chapter of my world travels this year. It is a surreal feeling that is a bitter-sweet.
It was been great travelling with Carys. Testing at times I don't know how they put up with me! And now I have to venture on alone for the next part of my travels... onto Europe!
I'm on my flight for 6.5 hours tonight to Frankfurt Germany. Lucky for my connections I met someone a few months ago on my tour from San Francisco to LA from Germany who lives in Frankfurt so I am going to be visiting her and staying with her sister for two nights until my Europe tour starts in Berlin.
As huge as the US travels have been and I have ticked so many things off my bucket list, seen amazing views. I have learnt so much about myself especially in my cabin leader role at camp.
I am so excited to explore more of myself in Europe and also tick the number one thing off my bucket list... Auschwitz.
I read Anne Franks novel when I was 14 years old after both my best friend at the time and my mum bought me the book for my birthday. That was when I became so curious about World War Two. I felt this deep connection to what the Jewish culture must have gone through. I've since then read so many stories about people during the holocaust. It is so important for me to go and see for myself what Auschwitz looks like after only imagining it from what authors have described in books.
So on to my next adventure and my new discoveries.
Thank you USA for the amazing summer you have given me. I will hold the memories for the rest of my life. ❤️
See you next year!!
