Week 3: Part 1 South Australia, Yorke Pennisula and Adeliade

Thursday 18th-

I started at Point Turton this morning having a quick snorkel near the caves. There were lots of families around the water and I enjoyed seeing all the fish, coral and the cold water to start the day. I then enjoyed a drive to the lighthouse in Corny Point and I also saw old photographs of the town and lighthouse.

I then drove all the way to Innes national park where I got to see some amazing look outs and hikes around beaches and a township walk where I got too see lots of old structures of horse stables, houses and a bakery. This was really interesting and I enjoyed the walks and drive through the park.

I then finished at Mozzie Flat campground where I got a whole beach to myself which was really cool.

Friday 19th-

I then continued driving up the east side of Yorke Pennisula where I went to Port Moorowie to see the artwork on the water tank. I then continued to Yorketown where I saw lots of pink lakes which this town is known for as well as another water tower artwork.

I then drove to troughbridge Hill which was a beautiful lighthouse.

In Edithburgh, Stansbury and Coobowie I enjoyed yet more water towers and walking around the towns.

Stansbury also had a jetty where I saw a Stingray.

I finished the day in Port Vincent which had a beautiful beach I swam and snorkled in.

Today was a very hot day so I thought I'd spend the day in Ardrossan at Tiddy Widdy Beach. However it was not a very good beach so I decided to head back to Port Vincent all day jumping in and out of the water and reading my book before driving out of the Yorke Pennisula for the night.

Sunday- This was officially my last day as a solo van traveller. So I drove into Elizabther, just outside of Adeliade to do the must do jobs of laundry and shopping.

I then spent it researching the next part of my trip to Northern Territory!!

I then travelled to Glenelg which is a beautiful part of Adeliade with a bay and lots of torristy activites. I enjoyed a long walk and watching the sunset. Late tonight I also spoke to a group of people from France and Berlin that were travelling around Australia.
