Highlight of the trip

2nd-

Today we are up having showers and packing before our long journey to Florida. We walked to the Washington Monorail station to catch a train to Bethesda where our greyhound bus is taking us to Virginia.

Arriving in Virginia at 6pm when nothing is open was not ideal. Ended up making a quick walk to McDonald's for dinner and returning to the bus stop for several hours playing card games and listening to music until the next bus arrived.

Orlando Florida 3rd to the 12th.

After the long bus journey from Washington, through  Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Geogia.

You noticed the temperature difference straight away with the humidity.

We were so excited to be back in a house again with home cooked meals, our own bedrooms and a place to Unpack our bags. We were not disappointed with our amazing Hosts!!!

We've the spent the few days here relaxing, swimming in the pool, shopping and watching movies.

Of course the best three days have been our days at the parks though!!

We started at Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios, which is definitely my favourite day with heaps of thrilling rides themed Jurrassic Park, the Hulk and Dr Dooms. There were also three water rides, one we didn't get wet as we were sat at the back, one we got soaked and one that our shoes got filled in with water. And of course the famous Hogsmeade street from Harry Potter with the castle ride we rode twice, the hippogriff and the best ride of our trip, Hagrids magical creatures motorbike adventure! It was hidden from the rest of the park so you had no idea what the ride had instore but the incredible surprises made it all the more memorable. We of course then went into Olivanders and all the other shops and tried Buttetbeer Ice Cream and Frozen Butterbeer which was amazing!

The following day despite being very tired we went to Magic Kingdom which had beautiful story rides of Winnie the Pooh, The little mermaid, Pirates of the Carribbean and of course Peter Pan. We got to meet some incredible characters that gave us so much of their attention and time. Including Chip and Dale, Goofy, Princess Tiana and Rapunzel. We also went on some of the roller-coaster rides including Rocky Mountain, Snow White and the best ride of the day Tron. We then got to watch the fireworks and light show on the castle and enjoyed a Mickey ice cream sandwhich.

We them had a lovely day off resting and swimming in the pool.

The following day we had our final day at Hollywood Studios. We got to step into the World of Star Wars and take adventure on two epic rides, one where you are captured by the First Order and explore the Star Destroyer. We then got to ride in the Millennium Falcon which was a huge highlight for me and we became engineers and shooters in the interactive ride. We then explored the land of Toy Story as we rode the shooting game and Slinky dog in 1st row! The one and only ride we were so lucky!! We then got to meet Frozone, Edna mode, Olaf, Max and Mickey and Minnie.

We also enjoyed the Indiana Jones stunt show and the Cars, Lightening McQueen show. We then rode my favourite ride of the day the Rock n Rollar coaster a super fast ride inside a completely black room where you zoom upside down and can only see neon signs. I then rode the Tower of Terror alone to face my fear from over 12 years ago. I survived and did it despite losing my stomach several times and almost grabbing the gentleman's hand next to me twice. To avoid the rain we ran into the Mickey and Minnie's railroad adventure ride which was incredible as well.

We then finished that evening with dinner at the Austalian Outback restaurant where I enjoyed a Bloomin Onion, ribs and steak and a Tim tam cake.

The last few days I slept, shopped, explored local towns and prepared for our final stop in Miami.
