Miami- End of a Chapter 🇺🇲

Well I finished my travels in the USA in Miami. It was a lot more surprising with how much culture there was in this state. Everyone spoke Spanish and the streets were full of different restaurants and markets.

We visited two beaches, Hobie island Beach which was beautiful with palm trees, beautiful clear and warm water, no waves and shade. I got a beautiful tan but unfortunately Carys burned. I also had a lovely nap and read my book.

We also visited Miami South Beach on the main island, it was quite busy and a completely open space so no shade. It wasn't as hot as the other day, it was a nice temperature. The water was warm and had few waves. It also had lots of fish and jellyfish. We did this on our last day together so had a lovely time in the water and chatting on the sand. I thought I'd been stung by something but it ended up going away whatever it was.

We ate lots of different foods including Burgers, tacos and salads.

We also attended an American college Football game which was awesome to watch. The Miami Hurricanes thrashed the wildcats but it was still good to get to know the rules and how to play. It was also a very different environment to be in especially as we had no idea what some of the chants were and what happened during half time and breaks. At one point just before the last quarter I believe all the lights went off and music started playing and everyone was singing and had their torches on, we were very confused but joined in.

My final day in Miami by myself, I did the necessary jobs of laundry and Packing. I then enjoyed a long walk and ended up in a shopping mall where I went to the cinema where I enjoyed a burger and a cookie skillet and watched A Haunting in Venice.

The next morning I then began my journey to Argentina...
